The Jupiter Urban Wildlife Centre project was given the UK-MAB Urban Wildlife Award for Excellence in 1996.
Description
Jupiter Urban Wildlife Centre is Scotland's largest wildlife garden. Located in Grangemouth it has a huge wildlife habitat which was once a derelict railway marshalling yard.
The Centre also is home to wetlands, woodlands and meadows as well as to a wild flower nursery and shop. The Centre also hosts many activities for children, such as pond dipping, minibeast hunting, frog and toad trails, grass sweeping and arts and crafts.
